In Loving of Memory of  Stephanie Vardell Lott (8/2006)
&
Ms. Clara Ella Griffith (8/2005)

A LOTT of Sista Love, Inc. is a Christian-centered empowerment organization named to honor Stephanie Vardell Lott.  Ms. Lott was a dear friend to Founder Monica L. Sanders for more than 20 years. The two met at Woodrow Wilson High School in Washington, DC and were knitted at the heart from the very beginning of their relationship. "Smooches" as Lott was affectionately called never missed a wedding, baby shower, birthday or anniversary of Monica's life.

Ms. Lott suddenly passed away on August 25, 2006.  After her death as any close friend, Sanders was devastated and shocked. She began to seek GOD for how to deal with such a large void in her life, especially after experiencing the passing of another great woman her Grandmother, Ms. Clara Griffith one year prior.

GOD spoke concerning the legacy of these two women, who Sanders loved dearly, and shared her most inner thoughts during the years. Ms. Lott, along with Sanders Grandmother, had an encouraging, supporting, caring, and loving spirit towards women.  Ms. Lott shared from her heart with many especially on education, vision and love...so out of Sander's grief GOD allowed A LOTT of Sista Love, Inc. to be born.

On October 1, 2006, A LOTT of Sista Love, Inc. held its first fellowship and empowerment for women in Charlotte, North Carolina.  Since then chapters have formed in Charlotte and High Point, North Carolina, Washington, DC, South Carolina, Florida, New York & New Jersey, Texas & Louisiana, Virginia State University & an International Chapter in Hamilton, Bermuda.
